At the end of July, 40 students in India attended a 3-day workshop in radio production at the Salesian College Sonada. It was the first time that such an event took place at the College, where a community radio will be launched soon.
Students were trained in concept programming and production, participating in recording sound bites, jingles, promos, etc. They also learned about script writing.
Throughout the three-day workshop, students were taught by the facilitator, Siliguri Mr Mahammad Johaed, Lecturer in the Mass Communication department at Salesian College, the power of radio as a tool to reach members of their community.
